Common questions

Flight training FAQ

Do you provide an airplane for flight training?

No. Wince Flight Instruction provides instructor services only. Training is done in your own aircraft or one you rent, share, or otherwise have authorized access to, subject to insurance, instructor qualifications, and aircraft suitability.

What flight training do you offer?

Private pilot training, instrument rating training, commercial pilot training, flight reviews, instrument proficiency checks (IPCs), ground instruction, and safety pilot and proficiency flying.

Where do you provide flight instruction?

Wince Flight Instruction is based in the Mid-Ohio Valley near Parkersburg, West Virginia, and serves pilots across West Virginia, Ohio, and surrounding areas, including Charleston, Wheeling, Huntington, Morgantown, Clarksburg, Columbus, Akron, and Zanesville. Travel to your local airport can be arranged in advance.

Can I get a flight review or IPC in my own airplane?

Yes. Flight reviews and instrument proficiency checks are based on your aircraft and how you fly. Ground and flight time are billed for actual instruction time, and completion depends on demonstrated proficiency.

Who is the instructor?

Noah Wince, an FAA Certified Flight Instructor and Instrument Instructor (CFI/CFII) and ATP Flight School graduate who holds a commercial pilot certificate with single- and multi-engine land privileges and high performance, complex, and high altitude endorsements.

How is flight instruction priced?

Instruction is billed hourly for instructor time. Aircraft rental, fuel, airport fees, examiner fees, and other third-party expenses are not included. Travel outside the local area is quoted individually. See Rates & Services.
